Shipyard Pula
Special-purpose aluminium and steel vessels up to 80 m, repair and conversion — all at one location in the port of Pula, with our own workshops and design team.
Focus on sophisticated vessels in small series
Faced with Far East competition in large steel ships, we focused on what we demand of ourselves: technically demanding, high-added-value vessels.
We build patrol, passenger, fishing, fire-fighting, offshore and work vessels. More than 90 % of our revenue comes from exports — to Norway, Scotland, Ireland, England and Germany, and we have also delivered to Greece, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Romania and Montenegro.

Facilities
- Main hall 60 × 20 m right on the waterfront, movable on rails — opens for loading heavy sections and for side launching; extendable to 80 m
- Aluminium hall, 75 m — construction of smaller, fast aluminium craft
- Two slipways for hauling out and launching vessels up to 44 m
- 10,000 m² of concrete platforms for heavy loads along the quay wall

We hold valid approvals from the Croatian Register of Shipping for all repair works. We work outdoors or in a covered hall, and we answer every enquiry promptly.
A skilled and creative workforce
The shipyard employs 300–350 workers and some fifty subcontractors, of whom 200–250 work on remote sites abroad. Alongside qualified workers of all shipbuilding trades, the team includes some twenty mechanical, naval and electrical engineers.
For every contracted vessel we form a project team responsible for delivery — from design documentation to handover.
Careers at TehnomontCertificates and inspection
Our management systems are certified by Bureau Veritas. The quality control department is equipped for non-destructive testing of structures and welds (NDT, ultrasonic, dye penetrant).
Development projects
METRO — Maritime Environment-friendly TRanspOrt systems
A project for higher quality, safety and environmental sustainability of maritime and coastal transport through multimodality and eco-innovative solutions, including hybrid passenger vessel concepts. The final conference was held in December 2021.
